According to an anonymous industry insider earlier today, China’s Tencent Games has acquired the rights for Civilization Online, which is the rumored title Take-Two and XL Games are working on for the past year. The insider stated that Tencent Games was the middle party who brought Take-Two and XL Games together, with Take-Two having an office in China and good working relationships with Tencent Games. The China mega company also has the rights for ArcheAge China, XL Games’ maiden title.
