About 30 employees left gumi China recently, with 13 of them being let go (15% of workforce), while the rest submitted their notice prior to the cut. It was said those who were let go will get a 5-month severance package. The CEO of gumi China claimed this is a “one time thing” and will never be done again. This follows a massive 100-man layoff, and an embezzlement case in South Korea.
